We are Mill City Anesthesia

We are Minnesota's largest and most trusted dental anesthesia provider. Why? It's because of our CRNA's and RN's. The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists at Mill City Anesthesia are proud to be part of America's most trusted profession. Patients who require anesthesia for dental procedures know they can count on our CRNAs to stay with them throughout their procedure, advocate on their behalf, and provide high quality, patient centered care.

Our process is as easy at 1,2,3, and 4

Anesthesia consultation

Shortly after you schedule a sedation procedure with your dentist, we will contact you to discuss your medical history. This call will last approximately 15 minutes during which we will discuss your medical history, the anesthesia plan, and answer your questions.

Visit your doctor

Prior to your procedure, we ask that you get a preoperative physical from your primary care provider. They will send a copy of this report directly to our office.

Simple instructions

On the day before your procedure, we will send you a reminder text message including fasting instructions. We are always available to answer your questions.

Show up, lay back, and relax

On the day of your procedure, you will meet with your anesthesia provider and sign an anesthesia consent form. Then it's time to relax while our experts deliver your exceptional anesthetic.

FAQs

Got a question? We’re here to help.

  • What is a CRNA?

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) are highly skilled advanced practice registered nurses who specialize in the field of anesthesiology and pain management. CRNAs have been providing anesthesia care to patients in the US for more than 150 years, currently delivering more than 49 million anesthetics to patients each year in all 50 states. As autonomous healthcare professionals, CRNAs collaborate with the patient and other healthcare professionals to provide patient centered high-quality, holistic, evidence-based and cost-effective care

  • What is the CRNA's role during the procedure?

CRNAs are responsible for the safety of patients before, during, and after surgery. They stay with their patients throughout the entire procedure, administering their anesthesia and monitoring their vital signs to ensure maximum safety and comfort. This responsibility requires CRNAs to fully utilize every aspect of their anesthesia education and training, nursing skills, and scientific knowledge. CRNAs also analyze situations, make decisions, communicate clearly with the other members of the surgical team, and respond quickly and appropriately in an emergency.

  • Does MCA accept insurance?
